Cat's out of the bag

Well, halfway I guess. For those of you that snoop around on Happy Mutant Multisport you may have seen that I will be working closely with Chad and Dirty in 2007 to run an adventure/multisport series in the cedar valley area. The focus will be on the event, atheletes, trails, outdoor awareness, and getting new people involved especially kids! We are going to have unique events with huge benefits for the athletes, trail systems, local charities, and much much more.

So today I toss out my first call for ideas on local sponsors for the series and/or just a specific event. The sponsors will certainly get there donations worth, but they need to be in it for the whole picture, not out for themselves. We are currently talking with the Runners Flat in CF and Hansen's dairy / Moo-Roo's ice cream in Hudson. Volunteers will also be needed for our cycling and running clinics if you know of anybody shoot me a name and I'll contact them.
Also info on local charities that could use some money and exposure would be good. I have been talking with Big Brothers / Big Sisters and I would also like to work with the Boy Scouts in Waverly.

Below is a VERY tenitive schedule for the spring and fall series. In the spring series your top 4 events count for the points chase (points chase, what is this NASCAR??) and in the fall all 3 events are counted for the points title.
Thanks in advance Eduardo... Cedar Valley Adventure

Spring
Trail run / clinic / youth race
MTB TT / clinic / youth race
BSA MTB race with a Trail run prior to the MTB (Bucannondale what do you think??)
Off road Duathlon team or Solo

Fall
1/2 marathon trail run with nutrition clinic
4 hour marathon MTB Race (BSA camp Carlos??)
Adventure Du / Adventure race 2-4 hour range

Comments:
And it's a fat cat at that!
Sounds like you've jumped in with both feet. The CV can definitely use this.

I would contact Scott Gall at the Runner's Flat in CF. I am sure he'd help with the sponsor of the runing aspect of all of this.

glad you're still alive and well. i thought you'd moved to mexico or something....
